Dr. O'Boyle, MD
Timothy E. O'Boyle, MD

Dr. Timothy E. O’Boyle is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery, LASIK, and the treatment of diabetic eye disease. A graduate of Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. O’Boyle completed his internship at the Baylor Affiliated Hospitals, and his residency in Ophthalmology at the Louisiana State University Eye Center. Prior to joining Professional Eye Associates in 1991, Dr. O’Boyle served as the Chief of Ophthalmology at the Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. He is involved with the Humane Society of Northwest Georgia and the Boy Scouts of America.

Dr. O’Boyle offers patients the newest and safest technology available in LASIK and cataract surgery. He is an active member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the Georgia Medical Society and is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology.


Dr. Kim, MD
D. Brian Kim, MD

Dr. Brian Kim is a board-certified ophthalmologist and Corneal Specialist who practices comprehensive ophthalmology and treats all aspects of eye disease, but has a special interest in advanced techniques in refractive cataract surgery (Toric and Multifocal lens implants), LASIK, corneal transplantation, pterygia surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), and laser vitreous floater-lysis. Dr. Kim received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry at Amherst College. He completed his medical degree at Albany Medical College where he received award recognition for excellence in ophthalmology research. He completed his medical internship at the Alton Ochsner Clinic Foundation and his residency in Ophthalmology at the LSU Eye Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Kim pursued additional sub-specialty fellowship training in Corneal Transplant Surgery and Refractive Surgery (LASIK/PRK) at the LSU Eye Center.

Dr. Kim is Northwest Georgia’s only fellowship-trained corneal specialist, performing the latest corneal transplantation (DSAEK/PKP/DALK) techniques. Dr. Kim is also the only eye surgeon in the NW Georgia area certified to perform laser treatment for vitreous floaters. He has published numerous articles and has lectured around the country on his interests in surgical techniques. He has also developed and designed new instruments for surgery. Dr. Kim was selected among his peers to the executive board and is past-president of the Georgia Society of Ophthalmology. He is also clinical assistant professor of ophthalmology at the Medical College of Georgia. He is an active member and contributor to the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, lecturing and providing hands-on teaching of cataract and other advanced surgical techniques. Dr. Kim was selected to the editorial board for Cataract and Refractive Surgery Today, a highly regarded publication in ophthalmology. Dr. Kim is also a member of the Medical Association of Georgia and the Cornea Society. He volunteers time away from his busy practice to travel and perform sight-saving cataract surgeries on blind patients around the world. Dr. Kim strives to provide the best and most advanced eye care for all of his patients with the utmost attentiveness and care. He spends most of his personal time with his family, but also enjoys playing basketball and loves to sing. He is an active member of Rock Bridge Community Church where he teaches in the children's ministry.

Dr. Hendrix, MD
Joshua Hendrix, MD

Dr. Joshua Hendrix is a board-certified ophthalmologist, who practices comprehensive ophthalmology, offering cataract surgery, LASIK, diabetic eye care, eyelid surgeries, and glaucoma care for his patients. 

Dr. Hendrix received his medical degree from the Marshall University School of Medicine, where he graduated top of his class. After completing his Internship in Medicine at Greenville Health Systems, Dr. Hendrix completed his ophthalmology residency at the Dean McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City. Throughout his career, he has been the recipient of multiple accolades, including research and teaching awards, as well as election into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and Golden Humanitarian Honor Society. He is an active member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and Georgia Society of Ophthalmology. 

Since moving to Northwest Georgia in 2018, Dr. Hendrix has provided a variety of minimally-invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS) to patients in the area, including the iStent Inject and Ab-interno Canaloplasty (ABiC), which help to lower eye pressure by rejuvenating the eye’s natural drainage system. In addition, he offers the latest cataract surgery lens implants and techniques.

In his free time, Dr. Hendrix enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid tennis player and outdoor enthusiast. 

wingrove, OD
Robi A. Wingrove, OD

Dr. Robi A. Wingrove joined Professional Eye Associates in 1999. He is board-certified, and received his undergraduate education in biology from Ohio University. He graduated from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 1997. Dr. Wingrove specializes in contact lenses and primary eye care services. He enjoys helping coach numerous youth sports activities. Dr. Wingrove treats patients of all ages, and is committed to providing each patient options for achieving their personal best vision.

McBride, OD
Daniel J. McBride, OD

Dr. McBride is a graduate of The Ohio State University and the Illinois College of Optometry. After practicing optometry in Ohio for several years, he joined Professional Eye Associates in 2005. Dr. McBride specializes in contact lenses and vision correction. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association. Dr. McBride is very involved in his church, Belmont Baptist Church in Calhoun, Georgia. Dr. McBride treats patients of all ages, and is committed to building strong doctor-patient relationships and providing the best care possible.


Davis, OD
Van Andrew Davis, MS, OD

Dr. Davis earned his Masters of Science from the University of North Carolina, and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama School of Optometry in 1999. Since graduating, Dr. Davis has practiced both in Rome and Cartersville, Georgia before coming to Professional Eye Associates in April 2017. Dr. Davis performs professional eye exams, including check-ups for glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes and macular degeneration.

Dr. McDonough
Brett McDonough, OD

Dr. McDonough developed an interest in optometry from an early age. Having poor eyesight himself, a grandmother with macular degeneration, and a grandfather with glaucoma, Dr. McDonough understood the value of eye care. He received his Biology degree from the University of Mankato and Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry in 1997. After graduating, Dr. McDonough practiced in Chattanooga, TN before coming to Professional Eye Associates in March of 2020.
